THE Duke and Duchess of Cambridge left senior royals from the guest list for Prince George's christening "with the Queen's blessing" the Sunday Express can reveal.

William and Kate had "several long chats" with Her Majesty about plans for that October 23 service as they definitely were keeping her at Balmoral recently.

Whenever they told her they wanted "an intimate family affair" with only an inner circle of relatives and friends, she reported: "I totally understand."

Eyebrows were raised last week if this was revealed William's aunts Princess Anne and Sophie, Countess of Wessex will never be at the event inside the Chapel Royal at St James's Palace.

We can easily concur that Prince Andrew and Prince Edward can also be absent.

Good news triggered worldwide headlines of the "snub" for senior royals.

However a well-placed royal source said yesterday: "William and Kate wanted a little, personal and thoughtful service and concluded a lot of people would spoil it.

"There is not any suggestion they don't continue any individuals or their loved ones, nonetheless it was much easier to leave out the truly amazing aunts and uncles.
