Watch Taliban target Malala Yousafzai leave host Jon Stewart speechless

The teenager said she'd told herself if attacked through the Taliban, she had talk with her intended killer about the value of education

Here is the moment Malala Yousafzai - who was simply shot by the Taliban for championing girls' education - left US chat show host Jon Stewart speechless.

The 16-year-old rose to global fame after being shot inside the head and neck throughout her strategy to school with girls in Pakistan - before recovering in Britain.

The teenager left Stewart visibly stunned when she declared that if attacked from the Taliban she'd speak with her intended killer about the importance of education - instead of trying to defend herself physically.

She concluded by saying: "That's what I would like to let you know, now do what you would like."

This sparked a standing ovation through the audience, while Stewart so impressed he jokingly offered to adopt Malala.

Earlier from the show, she Stewart asked her whether she knew she would be a Taliban target.

"I recently cannot accept it, I said no, it's not the case," she said.

"We thought the Taliban were not much cruel which they would kill a youngster."

Malala, who was assigned an image Pride of Britain Award immediately, also raised fun herself by saying that if attacked she had hit the Taliban assassin along with her shoe.

"But then", she said "I said [that] if you hit a Talib with a shoe then there will be no distinction you and the Talib.

"You must not treat others with this much cruelty knowning that much harshly."

"You should fight others, but through peace via dialogue and through education."

The Taliban have openly vowed to kill Malala, after they failed within their first assassination attempt.
