In a wide-ranging interview with the Daily News Editorial Board and publisher Mort Zuckerman, editor Colin Myler and Arthur Browne, Democratic New York mayoral candidate Bill de Blasio talked about NYCHA and other issues

Bill de Blasio slams NYCHA leadership, Bloomberg

The Democrat told the Daily News Editorial Board that Mayor Michael Bloomberg has ignored scandalous issues that NYCHA's 600,000 tenants have endured for almost all of the mayor's 12 years in office. He promised to sack Chairman John Rhea if elected.

 New York mayoral front-runner Bill de Blasio ripped the “fundamental problem of management“ at Nyc Housing Authority on Wednesday and vowed to wash house if he's elected.

Within a sitdown using the Daily News Editorial Board, de Blasio blasted Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who he stated has ignored scandalous conditions NYCHA's 600,000 tenants have endured for a lot of the mayor's 12 years at work.

“At minimum, as a way forward, there needs to be a mayoral-control mindset vis-à-vis public housing,“ he stated. “We're going to have to rework the operational approach at NYCHA.“
