Collier man solitary of 2 killed in I-75 crash


A Collier County man was solitary of two killed in a Saturday morning crash on Interstate 75 go up to Daniels Parkway, Florida Highway Patrol troopers held.

Alphonse Casimir, 31, died what time he drove a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic into the back of a tractor preview, rooms the vehicle into the back of the preview, troopers held. A passenger in Casimir’s  was furthermore killed, but he hasn’t been identified, troopers held.


Casimir was driving northbound on Interstate 75 next to around 3:45 a.M. What time he approached the preview, trooper held. For an unknown think logically, Casimir rear-ended the preview and became without an answer. The tractor preview driver came to a halt on the highway shoulder, but both Casimir and his passenger, who were wearing seatbelts, had sustained fatal injuries, troopers held.

It’s unknown whether Casimir was under the influence of alcohol. The tractor preview driver, a 52-year-old Fort Myers man, wasn’t injured and wasn’t under the influence, troopers held.
